In the spring of 2002, Award winning Food Network cake designer Lauren Kitchens started Fancy Cakes by Lauren, a boutique wedding cake studio in Dallas, TX.
Inspired by gowns, art, and textiles, she quickly became the premiere wedding cake artist in the metroplex by working personally with each client and creating breathtaking cakes that mix contemporary and traditional designs.
In 2008, the producers at Food Network invited her to compete in Food Network: Challenge, where she went on to win gold medals for her outstanding 3D characters and replica cakes.
